A dog a day… Lady Bug

UPDATE: Lady Bug was adopted, here is a picture of her first night at her new home…
Lady Bug

Today’s dog is Lady Bug, lets help the kind people at  Save The Contra Costa County Shelter Dogs find her a home!

Ladybug has been extended until Tuesday (6/10/2014). She’s hidden in the back of the shelter, making it more difficult for her to find a home and more important for the rescue community to network her!

If you want to see her at the shelter – please ask – Lady Bug ID#A761394 (11 photos).

Meet Lady Bug, a 3 year old pittie mix. This adorable girl has wonderful manners! She sits, drops the ball, and patiently waits for treats. She has a soft mouth when taking treats and seems to be good with other dogs.

Scoop Lady Bug up at CONTRA COSTA ANIMAL SERVICES.

Please network and share Lady Bug using the hashtag #aDogaDay.

A dog a day… Brownie

BrownieToday’s dog is Brownie, let’s help the kind people at Save the Contra Costa County Shelter Dogs find Brownie a home!

Looking for a mellow, easy-going dog to add to your family? Look no further than Brownie.

Brownie is a handsome, 2  1/2 year-old Pit-Beagle mix looking for a foster or forever home at Contra Costa Animal Services in Martinez, California (northern CA). His time may be up June 5th, 2014!

Brownie was in the timid dog program, but graduated when it was discovered that he is more reserved than timid. Because he seems to be a little dog selective, particularly when it comes to other males, he would most likely do best as an only dog, although he may be able to live with a calm and reserved female.

Brownie is responsive and very sweet.

Brownie needs an adopter or committed foster for rescue. If you are interested in fostering please reach out to the folks networking these dogs via the Save The Contra Costa County Shelter Dogs Facebook page.

If you reach out to the shelter directly, Brownie’s ID number is:  AA760910.

Please network and share Brownie using the hashtag #aDogaDay.
