A dog a day… Dane

Today’s dog is Dane, he’s at the Baldwin Park Shelter.

Dane is a jovial one year old gray and white male Pit Bull puppy who was found in El Monte on March 4th and brought to the Baldwin Park Shelter.

Weighing forty-four pounds, this high energy boy hasn’t had much in the way of training, but he is eager to please and treat motivated so he will learn quickly. Dog friendly, we think he will be at his happiest in a home with children who he can play with.

Dane is a superb indoor pet for an individual or family living in a single-family home.

Dane can be seen on YouTube and on the shelter’s Facebook page.  Dane’s ID# at the shelter is #A4681610.

Please share and network Dane using the hashtag #aDogaDay.

A dog a day… Sable

Today’s dog is Sable, a puppy that is healing after being hit by a car. She’s located in southern California and needs a rescue – fast!

The Baldwin Park Shelter is asking your urgent help in finding a home or rescue for Sable.

Sable is an adorable and peppy four month old, female Chihuahua who was found in El Monte after  being hit by a car on April 22nd, she was then brought to the Baldwin Park Shelter. She suffered a fractured pelvis and is expected to make a full recovery if she can be given crate rest for a month.

Weighing five pounds, this sweet puppy with the perpetually wagging tail is expected to reach an adult weight of ten pounds. She is good with other dogs, and we expect she will have the typical Chihuahua breed standard disposition of being a “Velcro” dog who will delight in being a lapdog.

The Baldwin park Shelter would like to see Sable rescued and brought to a loving and calm environment where she can receive TLC and love. Sable, once she recovers, will be an outstanding lapdog for anyone in any living situation.

Sable’s ID number at the shelter is A4699425, she also has her own YouTube video.

Please network and share Sable using the hashtag #aDogaDay.

A dog a day… Kelly

Today’s dog is Kelly, a sweet gal located in here in southern California.

Kelly is a one year old tan, female Chihuahua hit by a car in La Puente on April 23rd and brought to the Baldwin Park Shelter. Sadly her front right leg had to be amputated. This very sweet tripod is going to make a complete recovery according to the shelter’s veterinary staff – and will have no problem walking. She weighs in at 10 pounds, so she’s easy to carry too.

Kelly is super friendly and highly companionable – and we are hoping someone will step in and rescue her so she can get back to 100% in a clean and nurturing environment. Kelly will be a fantastic lapdog and indoor pet for an individual or family in any living situation.

You can see a video of Kelly on YouTube.

Kelly’s control number at the Baldwin Park Shelter is A4700466.

Please share and network Kelly using the hashtag #aDogaDay.

A dog a day… Roy

Today’s dog is Roy and Friends of the Baldwin Park Shelter are helping him find a new home.

Roy is a well-mannered 6 year old black and fawn neutered male German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd with perhaps a bit of Husky mix.

He was brought to the Baldwin Park Shelter on March 26th. Weighing in at 60 pounds, Roy is a medium energy, well socialized dog who walks brilliantly on leash, ‘sits’ and ‘shakes’ on command is most likely house trained.

Roy is fantastic with other dogs, we think he will make a splendid companion for children. Roy is an exceptional dog, who is the ultimate indoor pet for a family living in a private home.

Roy has his own YouTube video. His

Roy’s ID numer is: A4689614.

Please share and network Roy using the hashtag #aDogaDay.

A dog a day… Raven

Today’s dog is from the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter and they are asking for help in finding Raven a home.

Sadly she has developed kennel cough and needs a rescue fast. Kennel cough is easily treatable and with quick care this little gal will be healthy and happy!

Raven is a delightful two year old black, fawn with a bit of white female Chihuahua mix who was found in West Covina on April 4th and brought to the Baldwin Park Shelter.

Weighing ten pounds, Raven walks skillfully on a leash and most likely this medium energy girl is housebroken. Good with other dogs, she has the typical Chihuahua personality trait of being initially timid when meeting new people; but she warms up quickly and rapidly transforms into quite the affectionate lapdog.

Raven is a marvelous indoor pet for a family or individual living in an apartment or condo.

Raven is a star on YouTube.

Her reference number at the Baldwin Park Shelter is A4693015.
