Today’s dog is Joker, he’s with the Contra Costa County Shelter Dogs in northern California.

Joker is a gorgeous boy. The volunteers tell us he is 7-8 years old, mellow, quite, good with other dogs.

I’ve walked Joker many times. He’s easy on leash, nice meeting other dogs, he is a little independent which is kinda nice. He is just a very good dog. And very cute, his expressions are very sweet! He’s a little older (but you can’t tell) and wiser. I can really appreciate wisdom in a dog. He would make a great walking buddy. Please consider this sweet pup!

Joker is in northern California at Contra Costa Animal Services in Martinez, CA. Because he is about 8 years old, he is well past the challenges of puppy-hood. He’s a very mellow, easy-going dude who was surrendered simply because his owners were moving and couldn’t take him with them. Because of his laid-back attitude, volunteers think he may even be good with kids! His time is running out, so he will need an adopter or foster home for rescue soon.
I just love the dogs that are a little older and more mature, they are calm and so appreciate the love of a good home. Let’s get this boy shared some more!
